SILICA SAND
When used in landscaping, silica sand provides a stable layer of sand, helping to keep the surface looking as natural as possible. Silica sand has been specifically designed and blended to promote superior athletic achievement in synthetic flooring. Silica sand possesses many benefits, such as helping to reduce on-field heat, Being rounded to “move” when in contact with the athlete, reducing abrasions and injuries, Resisting compaction and fracturing, and Being crush resistant. Resists moisture absorption, Is clean and a truly natural, etc.

PROFESSIONAL SPORTS INFILL MATERIAL
The Silica Sand of Pacecourt will provide perfect texture and grip to your sports courts. It enhances coating strength, skid resistance and surface durability because it has been graded to be used on acrylic resurfacing and cushion systems.

HOW TO USE SILICA SAND
Get perfect texture and grip on your sports courts with Pacecourt’s Silica Sand. Graded for acrylic resurfacing and cushion systems, it increases coating strength, skid resistance and surface durability.
Surface Inspection & Preparation
Choose the right mesh size of Pacecourt Silica Sand, depending on the need of the surface texture and level of traction. Make sure the base layer (resurfacer, cushion coat or even color coat) is clean, dry and prepared to be sand blended. Adequate grip, playability and the performance of the court are directly affected when there is a proper selection and preparation.
Material Mixing
Measure the suggested amount of silica sand needed to acrylic resurfacer, cushion coat or color coat and add it to the system as required. Stir to attain uniformity of the particles and to eliminate agglomeration. Proper mix of sand makes texture rational, ball bouncing is controlled, and the sand performs the anti-slip surface.
Application
Also spread the sand-blended mixture with a rubber squeegee or other applicator. Keep the surface consistent in thickness to have a balanced traction and consistency of the surface. The correct application will assist in production of a durable, texted finish, which can be played professionally in sports.
Curing Time
Customer must make sure that the applied layer is quite dry before adding more layers or opening the court. The time of drying could be different based on the weather conditions and the humidity. Cure prevents sand particles to bond weakly and achieves a longer life cycle of the surface.
