The BWF stipulates an 11%shock absorption factor. How much is this factor wrt synthetic courts with 4 mm padding? Also, does Acrylic surface mean without padding? Please let me know since I am coaching at present. Thanks
Dear Mr. Karmarkar, As you know that badminton is an indoor game and is usually played on either wooden flooring or synthetic PU floor with paddings of various thicknesses during any national/international competitions. Acrylic is outdoor sports flooring and doesn’t come with any SBR padding hence shock absorption requirement of BWF can not be met.
